Hand crafted since 1853, Steinway & Sons is America’s preeminent iconic piano. The Steinway & Sons Model A is a classic grand piano widely regarded as one of the finest instruments ever made. With a length of 6’1″ and a width of 56″, it is a full-sized grand piano that is perfect for both professional and home use. Steinway’s “Golden Era” is from 1890-1940. Here is a gem manufactured in 1911.
Its touch and tone are definitively Steinway in character, with a medium touch for an intermediate-to-advanced level pianist, and tonal production that employs a rich powerful bass, a beautiful warm tenor mid-range leading into a bell-tone clear, singing treble.
The cabinet of this stalwart piano is the original Sapele Mahogany finish. It can be completely refinished back to its gorgeous glory for an additional charge. The strings, soundboard, pin block and hammers have all been replaced.
