One of the finest Boston piano manufacturers was The Ivers & Pond Piano Company. William H. Ivers began building pianos under his own name in about 1872, and then went into partnership with Handel Pond in 1880 to establish “The Ivers & Pond Piano Company”. (Instruments built by William H. Ivers prior to 1880 were simply labeled as “Ivers”). This baby grand piano, finished in matte mahogany, is economically priced to sell at $3,000, but can be refinished and restored upon request at an additional cost.
This 5’3” instrument has a lovely and pleasing tone and touch.
