The RX-series of pianos were very popular for Kawai in the US and Canada. Built in their main factory in Hamamatsu, Japan, the series was the top-of-the-line.

This fine piano is finished in a gorgeous high-polished ebony. It’s pleasing tone is European-inspired and mellow; not nearly as bright as its other Japanese counterpart, Yamaha, tends to be voiced.

The Kawai RX-3 piano treble has a clear, bell-like singing quality, and the full, lush bass response is satisfyingly excellent, and its middle pedal has a true sostenuto function.
