The patented Crown Retention System is a hallmark of M&H pianos. Underneath the soundboard, the tension rods are placed between the center disc and the outer rim of the instrument, precluding any loss of the necessary crowning of the soundboard, ever. It takes more money to produce a M&H grand piano than it does to make a Steinway grand of similar size.
