Finished in hand-rubbed satin ebony, this KG-series model, crafted in Kawai’s Hamamatsu factory in Japan, later evolved into the RX-series.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Renowned for its expressive tone and dynamic range that inspire pianists to play with great fulfillment, this Kawai model KG 6C plays very expressively, accurately and smoothly. It is beautifully finished in classic hand-rubbed satin ebony.
This piano’s tone is European-inspired and mellow, in contrast to the typically bright tonal character of its Japanese competitor, Yamaha. The duration of tone (“sustain”) is lengthy and tends to be preferred by classical musicians The treble has a clear, bell-like singing quality, and the bass response is satisfyingly pleasing, given the shortness of the bass strings. The overall tone quality is balanced across the compass of the keyboard.
The KG-series of pianos were wildly popular for Kawai in the US and Canada. They were built in Kawai’s main factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. The top-of-the-line KG-series was later re-branded to the RX-series.
